What is the Munchkin & Soccer Adademy?

The Munchkin Academy is a  Program designed to introduce soccer to boys and girls age 3 to 5.

The Soccer Academy Program is designed for children ages 6 & 7.

All practices take place at St Pete's field, located behind St Peter the Apostle Church located at 6455 Engle Road, on Saturday mornings from 9 A.M to 10 A.M. We have two sessions, one fall and one spring. The fall session runs for 8 weeks and starts in September.  The spring session starts in April and runs for 6 weeks. When you sign your child up, they are signed up for the entire season.

The equipment you would need is a size 3 ball, shin guards, and a water bottle with their name on it.  Soccer cleats are optional, but recommended.  T-shirts are provided as part of your sign up fee.

How the Munchkin/Soccer Academy session works:

Each Saturday morning session lasts for 1 hour. The first half hour is spent teaching soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, etc. Then the second half hour is spent scrimmaging against another Munchkin/Soccer Academy team;  usually of the same age.  We also use this time to teach and reinforce team work, team play, and good sportsmanship. We do all of this while emphasizing that above all, the main goal is for the children to HAVE FUN and enjoy playing soccer.
